A native of Ferguson, NC, a very small, rural town in the northwestern part of the state, Dr. Wingler spent a lot of time outdoors either recreationally hunting and fishing, or working on his family land. Learning a lot about craftsmanship, it was embedded in him to problem solve on the fly, work with his hands, and take pride in the work he had created.
After spending a great deal of time in the dental chair, he developed a great relationship with his family dentist, and came to admire his lifestyle and outlook on life. Combining his passion for health and fitness with problem solving and service to others, Dr. Wingler realized that dentistry would be the path for him.
Dr. Wingler received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the UNC School of Dentistry. He has gone on to refine his craft through continuing education in various areas particularly in dental implants where he completed the Implant Pathway Continuum in Tempe, Arizona by providing free care to Veterans.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Implantologists. He is also a member of the Spear Study Club.
Dr. Wingler is providing exceptional care to the Lexington community, and is passionate about treating each of his patients with the warm-hearted care that he received as a young boy.
In his spare time, Dr. Wingler is an avid outdoorsman, so you might find him hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking, running, or anything to do with outdoors and fitness. He also enjoys cooking and grilling and spending time with his family.
As the previous owner of Frye Dental Care in Lexington, Dr. Frye brings over 35 years of the most advanced dental experience to Carolina Pines Dentistry.

After obtaining her BA in biology, she attended the UNC School of Dentistry. She would later earn certifications in CEREC one-appointment crowns, conscious sedation, and Invisalign® clear aligners.
Dr. Frye is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society and High Point Study Club.
Dr. Frye volunteered her time and skills to several groups, including the Davidson County Medical Ministry, Baptist Men’s Dental Bus, Give Kids A Smile and MOM Clinics.
Dr. Frye and her husband have two grown children, Charlie, a practicing attorney in Washington, D.C., and Kathryn. In her free time, Dr. Frye enjoys gardening, reading mysteries and enjoying music. She is a soloist with several choirs in Davidson County and has spent many years promoting music in our community.
The daughter of Dr. Sarah Frye and Chuck Frye, Dr. Kathryn Frye Kim was born and raised in Davidson County. She graduated from the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill, double majoring in biology and music with a minor in chemistry.
While a student at UNC, she continued to engage in her lifelong passion for horses as a member of the equestrian team, serving as captain her senior year. Her music major gave her the opportunity to participate in the student opera productions, as well as the Carolina Choir and Chamber Singers.
Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Kim attended the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
She is active in the community as a member of the choir and youth leader at First Baptist Church. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Davidson County Dental Society and the North Carolina Dental Society.
